Cheap(?) Gas
October3
That’s right, we’re finally under $3 for gas again. …but is that really something to celebrate?
I’m still holding out for less than $2.50. What’s a reasonable gas price in your mind?

!!!WOW! We are still at $3.60 or so. Although maybe it is lower today :)
lets see… it was about 1.20 back in the early 80’s and that was a definate “high” point back then… so, inflation adjusted… that would be like… hey! $2.50 in today’s dollars. :) Keeping holding out, brother! Let’s get back to $2.50!
Wait… yer under 3?? so you can buy a gallon of milk (on sale) for less than a gallon of gas?
Speaking of inflation… when are we gonna “inflate out” the worth of pennies… by the time I retire, it’ll take two bucks to buy a candy bar… i guess the question is when are we gonna “techno out” any form of hard currency altogether… in which case it’ll take $2.009999 cents to buy a candybar. some genius will be like “we just increased our annual revenue by $500,000!
It was under $1 in the late 90s. Here’s the prices, in your neck of the woods (quip Al Roker):

@ Eric: Actually, no. Our milk is $3.60-$3.80. -.-
I remember paying $0.68/gal once in 1999 on my way to ITT. Gas prices had dipped and this one place had been just above $0.70 for a while. It dropped 2 cents and I said, “Fill’er up”
@ yer face: That’s what milk is around here normally too. But IGA still puts it on sale every other week for 2.99. :)
I think everyone should move here because I just paid 1.99 for milk yesterday. Of course all savings go towards sunscreen and whatever poison I need to kill black widows, because I found one in the new house and refuse to move in until a week long period passes without seeing anything that can kill me.
